28 years after...

Last week, I visited one of my hometown after 28 years of absense.
I have been living in Osaka, Mie and Fukui in my childhood.
I visited Mie last week.

I hadn't considered that Mie was my hometown but I realized that it was the most important home for me.
When I stood in front of the place where I live, I felt like 'Finally, I came back!'.
My ex-house looked very old and tired but it was truely my home.

seminar whole day

I had a seminar whole day.
Well, this seminar is for city officiers about municipal climate change policy.
It had started on April, members are getting more active sinse then.

Usually, we go to drink after seminars, it was cancelled due to a typhoon.
In Osaka, it has little effect this time.
If it comes earlier or later, we would be drinking at this time.

What happened to Japanese Breakfast

Hi, I have learned Japanese traditional way of cooking for 2 years.
Now I got a license to teach Japanese cooking.

I am really shamed to see my breakfast today.
It was an anpan and cereals with milk.
Anpan is a bean-jam bread.

I wish to have Miso soup and rice for breakfast but I am waiting for new rice which I can get next month.

So many meetings

I had many meetings and spent all this afternoon and this evening.
It was our first meeting day of this term.

The evening meeting was held by the Sloth Club which spreads 'Slow Life' in Japan.
I am a member of the group.
We will sell information kits and things which our group had chosen in October festival.

It will be a good experiences.
I am a little bit excited!

2 hours meeting

I had a meeting lasting for 2 hours.
My colleagues and I talked about the future dreams to have a better faculty and to give better classes for students.

We agreed to start activities supporting student's social contribution. Students need more experiences in the real world.
Well, we should give them opportunities.

Back to school

My university starts from today. This is the second half term of a year in Japan.

My students would write graduate papers.
These days, the hardest part of writing is to chose themes what they really want to solve.
University students must have problems to face and their study must focus on it.
But my students doesn't have such things.

I am a little bit sad to know it.
As Patnam mentionend in Bowling Alone, people had lost their interests in social problems.
Then who would think of and protect their future life?

It is difficult to meet a good translation though so many books are translated to Japanese in Japan.

The translator had a nice job for this book.
Well, it is split in two and I read the latter half today.

I didn't nothing to read books today.
